The main objective of the game is, after placing the bet to roll a specific number on the initial throw. The chances of winning the bet are increased by the ability of a player who is aware of the chances of a specific number to appear on a throw. A 2 or 12 statistically might appear only once, while there are more than 6 ways of throwing a 7.

To start with, there is a shooter, the player who throws the dice. The player wins the bet in case he rolls 7 the first time around. The black side is up when there is the first throw of the dice; the white side is up when players have to place the marker on the point number of the shooter.  The first bet is called the pass bet; if the shooter throws 11 or 7 in the first throw than players win the same amount as they have bet. 2, 3, or 12 makes one loses his bet and any other numbers beside these become point numbers. The second bet has to be placed on the set number. Getting the same point number gets players to winning both bets. Getting a seven before the point number has the result of the player losing both bets.
